  2. Hi Sachith,
The Buddhist Publication Society, Kandy http://www.bps.lk uses a transliteration scheme for the Pali alphabet. It is consistent and easy to remember. If it can be extended to include the additional characters of the Sinhala alphabet, it could become a standard for the Sinhala alphabet.

I vaguely remember that Uni of Colombo led the effort to standardise the Ascii set for Sinhala characters. They could be interested in supporting you in this regard.

Another suggestion: if a Sinhala keyboard could be displayed for Sinhala input, it could be invaluable too.

    Gratefully appreciate your work!
    All the best!

    1. Hi Hashantha,

Thanks very much for the feedback. Please let me know the word you want to type (or any other examples) and I’ll look into it. (You can enable Sinhala diacritics on settings if you have problems typing any Sinhala characters)

      Kind Regards
      Sachith

  6. Sachith,

Great job and it is very, very useful.

As I mentioned to you via FB, I have a collection of words (large) which I’d love to wire up to your application, by building a database. I’m not sure whether that is possible?

    Anyway, thank you!
